Prize Distribution - Inter-school Poster Design/Painting Competition

Mr. T N Unnikrishnan, SHO Kasaba Police Station Pudussery gave away the prizes and certificates to the winners of the Inter-school Poster Design/Painting Competition on 29.02.2020 in the school library at 10:30 am.

The competition was  organised by the Library and Nakshatra Balajana Sakhyam in connection with Safer Internet Day 2020. Mr. K Viswanathan, Principal I/c. KV Kanjikode welcomed the gathering. Mr. Mujib Rahiman, Librarian gave a brief overview of the competition and the project Cyber Smart.

195 students from 15 schools had participated in the competition. Best three entries in two categories i.e Junior and Senior, were given trophies and certificates, 5 consolation prizes in each category were also given.  The prizes for the competition was sponsored by M/s. Ayyappa Travels, Palakkad.

In his address, the Chief Guest stressed the importance of equipping the students on cyber security and internet safety. A computer expert himself, Sh. Unnikrishnan talked about the dangers of cyber world and the increasing cyber crimes in the country. He urged the students to learn the necessary skills to use information technology for the benefit of the society and to become good human beings.

Safer Internet Day 2020 Celebrated

Safer Internet Day 2020 was celebrated in the Vidyalaya with a special programme in the morning assembly. It was followed by an interactive session on Cyber Security by Mr. Harish C, Cyber Expert, Cyber Cell Palakkad. The programme was organised by the Library in association with Nakshatra Balajana Sakhyam. 

Mr. Mujib Rahiman, Librarian welcomed the gathering. Mr. K Vishwanathan, I/c Principal presided over the programme. Mr. Harish interacted with students on the impact Internet and mobile technology on our lives and discussed various aspects of cyber security. He answered the queries of the students and also explained the functions and responsibilities of Cyber Cell and on reporting any cyber crimes to the Police.

Inter-school Painting/Poster Design Competition - Last Date to Register and Submit Your Entries

Nakshatra Balajana Sakhyam and Library KV Kanjikode is organising an Inter-school Painting/Poster Designing Competition for the students of Palakkad District under the "Let's be Cyber Smart" Project in connection with Safer Internet Day (SID) 2020.

 The last date of registering and submitting your entries is February 7

Eligibility

Students of Class VI to XII studying in any school of Palakkad District.

The competition will be held under two categories

Junior Category: Class VI to VIII

Senior Category: Class IX to XII

Theme: Internet Safety/Cyber Security for students

Nakshatra Balajana Sakhyam and Library KV Kanjikode is organising an Inter-school Painting/Poster Designing Competition for the students of Palakkad District under the "Let's be Cyber Smart" Project in connection with Safer Internet Day (SID) 2020.

Eligibility

Students of Class VI to XII studying in any school of Palakkad District.

The competition will be held under two categories

Junior Category: Class VI to VIII

Senior Category: Class IX to XII

Theme: Internet Safety/Cyber Security for students

Guidelines

• The painting/poster should be made on A3 size chart paper. Other size will not be accepted
• Students can use any medium
• Registration is mandatory to participate in the contest.
• There is no registration fee
• The art work must be original and a bonafide certificate from the Head of the Institution/Art Teacher stating that the work is original and independent work of the student must be attached along with the entry
• Entries without the certificate from the Head of the Institution/Art Teacher will be rejected
• A school can send all entries of their students together along with a single bonafide certificate with the list of students
• Content copies from any source will be disqualified
• The Last date of receiving the entry at KV Kanjikode is 7 February 2020

Prizes

The winners in each category will receive Trophy and Certificates of Merit

Consolation Prizes and certificates to TOP 10 the best entries from both the categories

The prizes and certificates will be distributed on 11 February 2020 during the Safer Internet Day (SID) 2020 celebration at Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode

• Register online by clicking the link given below
• Note down the registration number allotted to you
• The registration number should be written on the backside of your chart paper in big bold letters. You should not write your name, class, school or any other identifiable information on the painting/poster. If you face any problems in registration, contact the organisers for registration
• The entries must be send to The Coordinator, SID Poster Design Contest, Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode, Kanjikode West, Palakkad - 678 623 so as to reach us on or before 7 February 2020
