Introduction to Ethical Hacking and Junior InCTF

Mr. Sidharth and Mr. Sayooj Samuel introduced the students about Ethical Hacking and also introduced the students to the InCTF Junior hacking competition for high school students organised by Amrita University.

In their presentation, Mr. Sidharth explained various online threats faced by the students and also introduced them to hacking and different kinds of hackers. The students were also given brief information in the scope of cyber security as a career option.





LAUNCHING OF THE PROJECT “LET’S BE CYBER SMART”


The implementation of “Let’s be Cyber Smart” was initiated on 28/09/2019 at 09:30 am in the School Library. Mr. Mujib Rahiman K.U, Project Co-ordinator explained the project to the participating students from classes VIII to X. Mrs. Anitha G, Principal I/C formally launched the project. Mr. Arun Prasanth, PGT Computer Science addressed the gathering.

The launching was followed by the Inaugural Session on “Basics of Internet Safety” by Mr. Sayooj Samuel, student and member of Amrita Bios of Amrita Center for Cybersecurity Systems and Networks, Amritapuri Campus, wherein he explained the advantages of Internet and the various online threats and how to be safe online.

It was followed by a session by Mr. Sidharth P, student and member of Amrita Bios of Amrita Center for Cybersecurity Systems and Networks, Amritapuri Campus on JuniorInCTF, the Hacking Contest for High School Students in Kerala.

Most of the members of the Project were motivated by the presentation by the team of experts and joined the InCTF contest.
